GTA6 Wiki
Privacy
Last updated 17 August 2026
This page is a pre-launch signup for an unofficial GTA6 companion wiki. It collects as little as it can and sells nothing.
What is collected
Your email address, only if you type it in and submit the form. Nothing on this page requires it — you can read all of it without giving anything.
Alongside a submission we store the language your browser reports and, if the link you
followed carried one, a short label identifying where the link was shared (for example
reddit). That label is set by us when we share a link; it says nothing about you.
What your email is used for
One message, when the GTA6 wiki opens. Not a newsletter, not a sequence, not a product announcement for anything else. After that message you will not be contacted again unless you choose to sign up for something.
Your address is never sold, rented, shared with advertisers, or used to build an advertising profile.
Visit measurement, without cookies
We count how many people open the page and how far down they read. This runs on our own servers — there is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker of any kind, and nothing is stored on your device: no cookies, no local storage.
To tell two visitors apart without identifying either, we compute a
one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and
a secret value that changes every day. Only the resulting digest is stored.
Because the daily secret is part of the input, the digest cannot be linked back to you, and the same visitor on two different days produces two unrelated values. Your IP address itself is never written down.
Who else can see it
The site is hosted on Netlify, which stores everything described above on our behalf — your address goes straight into our own storage there, not into a third-party mailing list or CRM. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for the font files. No other third party is involved.
How long it is kept
Email addresses are kept until the launch message is sent, or until you ask us to delete yours — whichever comes first. Visit records are kept for as long as they are useful for deciding whether to build this, and no longer than 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Deletion is honoured without question and without asking why. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
